well, would you ask space Mowgli, a child raised by bugs, what to do? Or would you ask a giant bug of a species that hasn’t even arrived in the stone age yet?
She can still assist in important ways. Act as a translator for the local aliens (forgot what they are called). Would be invaluable as a way to get their cooperation to start studying what is making the bugs sick and cure it. Collect samples from the sick bugs.
She would be invaluable if they decide to call the space cops or whatever would be appropriate.
Be a witness for the space cops. Guide the space cops TO the facility and show them around, so the facility locals can’t hide stuff from the space cops. Identify people that worked at the facility.
Even if they don’t, they need evidence and she can help collect it. She is obviously willing and capable if she managed to survive for so long. They can protect her while she does all these things, so they would fulfill their responsibilities as adults there.
She’s not quite Mowgli. She’s had some experience of, for want of a better word, civilised human beings, which explains her scepticism about the newcomers.
